Organization Description and Mission:
For forty-four years, Community Action Commission of Santa Barbara County (CAC) has been dedicated to providing high quality, culturally appropriate services and opportunities for low-income people of all ages as they maintain or achieve self-sufficiency while retaining their dignity and self-esteem. Programs include children's educational, family and youth, nutritional and energy services. CAC manages well known programs like Head Start and Early Head Start. It serves over 150,000 hot nutritious meals to low income seniors annually and operates the Back Door Deli in Santa Barbara which donates 100% of its catering and deli profits to CAC's Senior Nutrition program. CAC is continuously changing and evolving to meet the needs of the community.
CAC has grown to become the county's largest private, non-profit social service agency and provides services to more than 10,000 low-income individuals and families. Visit http://www.cacsb.com
