I'll second Durbiano's on Gutierrez across the street from Office Max. Good neighbors, good folks.

I'll 'third' Durbiano. My employer uses their services and is pleased.

Oh thanks for asking this one! Ours are ancient, but still show in the "OK" zone. Does anyone know if it's safe to assume it means what it says given their age?

thanks--didn't know these home types were refillable. Must be cheaper than buying new?

Usually the home type is not refillable. Only the commercial ones with metal tops (nozzel/handle) are.

Rick Joy in Carp is wonderful, I'm sure Durbiano is too. Good idea to have extinguishers at home.

At Nargan Fire & Safety (Eric Persson) Goleta [airport-side of Hollister] invited me to watch him refill my Kidde ABC extinguisher in the parking lot next to his business. A spiral ribbon of thin metal (like from drilling through metal) was *inside* my old extinguisher. He explained that some Kidde extinguishers have this flaw and that my extinguisher might not have worked if I needed it -- because the metal ribbon might have blocked the outlet. He gave me the metal spiral-ribbon and said that I might wind up getting a new extinguisher replacement if I mailed the 'ribbon' to Kidde and detail the make and model. Never followed through on that -- just happy to have a super guy refill mine [due every five years] and educate me.
