Wow, last time I dyed shoes to match a dress was senior prom--don't ask when that was! No idea it was still an option.

I'm with MTNDRIVER. I remember going to a shoe store, I think it was Leeds, on state street.

Don't know where to go but project runway judges do NOT like "matchy matchy" accessories

Friends don't make friends get shoes that that need to be dyed to match. I was a victim of that in the late 80's. The color teal still scares me.

But the height of fashion sometimes is to do the opposite. Thus, the homage to 50s fashion in Mad Men -- with buffount hair and flouncy skirts and matching accessories. Have fun!

I agree with the above posts. Depending on the color of your dress you could find some amazing shoes to go with it - don't let them be the same color! Especially if your dress is something other than red, black or white...the thought of a fuschia dress with totally matching fuschia shoes??? UGH! (and I'm far from being a fashionista). What color IS your dress? Silver shoes look great with cool colors and gold look amazing with warm (especially if you have a summer tan!) If your dress is somewhat plain, a pair of leopard print shoes will just MAKE your outfit.

Nordstrom purse dept. gave me a name and address in L.A. when I had to get a bag dyed. Very helpful. edhaters - Gee, leave her alone. If she knows she has to get a pair of shoes dyed, she needs to do it, probably for a wedding. MYOB mind your own beeswax.

Had the shoes dyed at Jesse's and they are perfect. It was a difficult color but Jesse did it. This is a wedding, not a prom. Mother of the Bride!
