Jeannine at Crimson Day Spay for waxing. She only charges $14 (most others charge around $20) and she is awesome at getting a flattering arch.
I also use Dee's Salon Concepts for threading. It only takes like 5 minutes! She charges $20.

@196, Here's a link that explains threading, it's a hair removal method: http://www.eyebrowthreading.com/

For the OP, I recommend Dee.

Youtube has lots of videos showing how threading is done. It's easier to see than explain. Here's a link to one video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVmbHB2p4WM

Dee at Spa Concepts is the best. I call her the eyebrow magician. Lol. The only suggestion I have is to make sure she swabs the area with alcohol first, otherwise you will break out!!

@234: Andrea is still owner of Por Vida, and that is the way to contact her. She is renting space from Cowboys & Angels but has her own phone number still.

I recommend Dee at Spa Concepts for Threading. 5276 Hollister Ave Suite 404. (at the corner of Hollister and Patterson, cattycorner to GV Hospital). She charges $20 (check or cash only) and can usually see walk-ins pretty quickly. She is also a very nice person.

Amy at Amy's Skin Care on upper De la Vina. She's Egyptian so she is an expert (threading originated in Egypt).

I recommend Dee,at the Salon Spa Concepts for the brows threading, she is a precise threader in town since 22 years, she is from India where it is originate from, she can visualise the shape as you are talking to her, Threading with Dee, lasts longer because she double checks the result, outcome of the shape and definition of the shape.
i liked her work because it comes out like a celebrity look at the end.
you will be happy with the result, near GV hospital. across from the South coast deli building.

Re: what 307p said, Threading shouldn't hurt. At ALL. If it does, it isn't being done right.

My advice is to find an indian woman, they are the best since they often get precise training handed down from their mothers or grandmothers who were in the threading trade, either here or in India. It's a very complex thing and not as easy to learn as it looks, so go for a lady with a bit of mileage on her. Experience rocks!
