There is a great operation in town. They will trailer there grills to your location and set up a taco making operation on location. I am sorry I don't remember their name. If you contact the management at Red's in the Funk Zone, they could tell you since they have used them for events at Reds.

Though they can't cook the tacos at the party for you I know of many happy customers that have had New Baja Grill in the Camino Real Marketplace cater their 'Taco parties'. Baja prepares all of the food for you and then you set it up and the guests are able to make tacos however they like them, and you can also get rice and beans to go with them. You just tell them what ingredients you want and for how many people you plan on serving. My coworker was going to have a 'taco lady' cater a new year's party for him but she cancelled at the last minute and he ened up being much happier with the price and the quality from Baja. If you call just make sure you ask for Jaime the manager.

La colmena Just did friends wedding best tacos cooked on site as well as hand made tortillas right on grill. They handled over 100 people no problem.

Super Cucas prepared the food for my retirement party on Saturday. My three children looked extensively, and decided to use them as it was reasonable. Turned out to be the right choice. We had fifty guests, and enough food. Delicious!

We've used Pedro & Noe Vargas at our work Christmas parties and they are great. Very reasonable, good authentic Mexican food. 805-886-8876 (Pedro who doesn't speak very much English) or 805-452-2893 (Noe who speaks fluent English). They set everything up, cook, serve, and clean up. They also offer juices such as horchata, jamaica, etc. They are probably more authentic and cost effective than the restaurants that do catering.

For the best in town -- Only guy to call is Alvaro Abrego, "Tacos El Sabor de mi Tierra" Tacos de: Asada, Adobada, Chorizo, Pollo and Cabeza.
