I am looking for a doctor in town that removes facial spider veins. I'm also interested it what technique works the best (laser, sclerotherapy, others?).

I had capillaries removed on my face with VBeam. Dr Hammond did the procedure for $500 (not covered by insurance) Painful and swelling for 2-5 days with bruising. Feels like 200 or more rubber bands hitting your face at full force.

The Vein Clinic of Santa Barbara has a special on Groupon that you can purchase through today. I have been thinking about buying it but have not done it yet. Go to groupon and search the Santa Barbara deals to see the details.

Dr. Gregory Keller is the besy you can get. You don't want just any idiot lasering your face - it could turn out to be one big blister! It is a big decision not to be made in haste. Dr. Keller's staff is professional and highly skilled.

From experience I know that lasers do not get rid of the spider veins permanently, are painful, expensive, and can cause damage to the skin. The Vein Clinic is probably good, but electrolysis is the best. Mike Bono is the best electrologist around. His needles are smaller than what most doctors use, and therefore less invasive and damaging to the surrounding skin. The 'pain' is nothing compared to typical saline vein injections for removal,AND the veins do not come back as often happens with other types of vein treatments, especially lasers. Treatment time takes only minutes. You will need a few treatments depending on how much you need removed. Cost is maybe $40 an hour. Mike is not a doctor but a licensed electrologist. If you are more comfortable seeing a doctor, go to a good dermotologist. Good luck.

I'm a licensed thermologist and electrologist and I remove spider veins with a method call electro-dessication and it works much better than any lasor available. I'm also a nurse and have try most lasors. They take longer to heal, can srar, cost much more and they do hurt more.
