Cell Phone Screen Repair
updated: May 26, 2011, 11:04 AM

Subscriber is looking for cell phone glass screen repair - I broke the screen on my Motorola Droid X smart phone. There are screen repair folks in metro areas - any in the SB-Vta area? I have the carrier's no fault insurance, but even with the insurance, the deductable is $99. Metro areas have firms that simply replace the 'gorilla glass' screen for $59. I believe that there is a similar issue with the iPhone screen?

Check with Motorola direclty first and see what their warranty repair is. Any cell carriers insurance plan is money down the drain.

Bought my Fascinate for $249 six months ago and now a new one is $99.

Shouldn't this be under the fancy new REFERRAL section and not NEWS?

098- there is a difference in warranty repair and you broke it repair. Your phone may now 'only be $99' but that is usually with a new customer 2 year contract. When my mom broke her phone a few years ago (before the smart phone rage) and wanted to get the very basic $30 she already had she had to shell out almost $200 since that was factory price. A lot of the smart phones are at least $500-$600 without the new contract or warranty deductible price.

When I saw the heading I cheered. I have the same problem. For once Edhat failed me--Not one useful referral.

Don't despair. Call or text 617 4972 .. I confess I've forgotten his name, but he has a shop in Goleta by Hamburger Habit and he can fix your phone for sure. I've used him twice with perfect results. $55.
