updated: May 24, 2011, 9:37 AM

Does anyone know of a store that gift wraps anymore?

Or has that gone the way of full serve gas stations?

ditto the museum and Lewis and Clark - also Wendy Foster upstairs in Montecito on East Valley Rd. Expensive stuff there, but also interesting, less expensive items for gifts.

Chicken Little does too. Not sure what you are shopping for.

Chaucers and Chicken Little are free, Bennett's is something like a quarter or fifty cents.

Nordstroms will put it in the pretty silver Nordstroms box with tissue paper and paper bow/box securer.

Macy's will give you the boxes but you have to wrap yourself if you don't want to pay for the super fancy ones (if they even offer that service anymore).

Santa Barbara Arts does gift wrap for free and they have edhat t-shirts for sale there too. The owner Lynn Adams is the nicest, most generous retail owner in town. She goes above and beyond for her customers, community and especially ANIMAL rescue.

I second the nod to Santa Barbara Arts. Also by shopping there you are keeping money in your local economy. Lynn is one of a handful of local vendors still offering very unique gifts and artwork in a wide price range, something for everyone. Her gift wrapping is beautiful and yes, she is one of the nicest people on the planet. Go see her downtown in La Arcada, you'll find a gift for anyone there!
