There is a reasonably priced selection at ACE Home Improvement Center. I hadn't wanted one, and I almost bought one anyway.

Eye of the Day in Carpinteria has spectacular water fountains. I'd look there just to see what you like, even if you don't buy there because of the prices. Be aware that bird baths need cleaning. Also, you will need to refill it often (even daily) if the total amount of water held is small, there is a lot of splash if you have a pump, or the weather is hot. If you don't have a pump, you'll need to think about mosquito breeding.

Most commercial concrete bird baths are decorative but not functional. They don't hold enough water for a full day's use and the rough concrete surface seems to attract moss and other biologial activity. Be prepared for much more bird activity of all kinds in your yard, as word travels quickly that there is a new water source in the neighborhood. Other critters may come too--possums, skunks, raccoons, coyotes, so be aware-- they can topple and break a poorly secured concrete bowl. I use a large plastic (20" x 3" deep) planter saucer, cost me about $8. I put a flat stone in the middle for perching. I squirt it out (debris, sand, mud, bird poop) and refill daily, as it gets heavy use.

We have a 3-4' tall decorative ceramic pot with a large water basin below ground underneath with a pump on a timer. Water runs down all sides, so cats can't get to the birds. We get lots of birds at the fountain. Maintenance is less than a regular bird bath: add water every 1-2 weeks, scrub algae off the outside every 3-4 weeks, clean pump filter 1-2 times a year.
