The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has requested traffic control on Hwy. 154 about one mile east of Painted Cave Road on Thursday, May 19 from 9 am to 3 pm to recover a vehicle that went over the side of the highway in an accident earlier this week.
Motorists can expect delays on Hwy. 154 not to exceed 20 minutes. Electronic message boards have been activated on Hwy. 101 to inform the public about this law enforcement activity.

That's exactly what 154 needs - traffic control - permanently! However, the actual priority is people control. The road is not the problem, it is the mindless drivers who abuse it .

Saw CHP at Painted Cave at 7:20. Sad about the accident. I believe it is the second fatality at this location in last few years. Plain and simple people need to SLOW DOWN!
