Kombucha
updated: May 17, 2011, 6:09 AM
Does anyone know where I can get fresh Kombucha tea in the Goleta or Santa Barbara areas? I tried it at Cafe Luna in Summerland and it's amazing, but Summerland is a bit far to travel for my tea fix.

You couldn't pay me enough to drink "homemade" toxic mold buildup. But for those who still buy into this idea that it won't slowly dissolve your kidney function (google it, people), then I've heard from others the one at Cafe Luna is pretty tasty.

Try Wild Cultures. I went to an event where they had Kombucha on tap. They mix with different flavors of tea. Amazing! I think they even do home delivery.

Restaurant Mika in the Camino Real Marketplace sells a very large collection of teas, teapots etc. You might want to try there.

Thank you for the great reviews. If anyone wants to buy fresh kombucha (quarts) directly from the brewer (me!) just give a call or go to my website: truekombucha.com to sign up for weekly delivery/pick up. At present time my tea is sold by the glass at Cafe Luna in Summerland & Alchemy Cafe in Santa Barbara. julie (805) 452-1122
