updated: May 02, 2011, 8:14 PM

I'm looking to get my piano tuned in the Santa Barbara area. Does anyone have a good piano tuner recommendation?

The best is O. Knockity. Opper is so good, he gaurantees his Work for life. Everyone who knows him is aware that Opper Knockity only tunes once!

If I needed a paino tuner, I'd call the UCSB Music Dept and asked for their recommendation. They have a lot of pianos to tune.

I always used Ray Uhrig. He might be the blind guy referred to in #16989. His wife drove him and came back for him. He may have family members trained now. But, like me, he is getting old.

I've used Dennis Schwendtner for over ten years for my pianos. High marks for this great gentleman! He "sees" through his fingers and ears and always is kind, competent and reasonable in price. His e-mail: dennis@west.net His web site: www.pianosb.com

We have been using John Forbyn as our piano tuner
and are very happy with his great service. He has been
tuning pianos for over 25 years and adds a kind and caring
manner to his professionalism. We highly recommend him.
