I'd like to join a networking group. Does anyone have any recommendations on
which ones in town I should look into?

Networking for what purpose? Business contacts? Beer-bong-partners? Finding a baby sitter for your iguana? Bulk purchasing of dandelion green salads? There are great business net-working groups in town such as SABER (SB executive round table) and NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners). These meet at least once a month and are full of great members and guests and there are wonderful speakers.

903 asked the right questions. I've made the best contacts by joining groups with similar interests. SBMUG (Mac User's Group), Adult Ed classes, sports teams...

There's BNI (Business Network International). Toastmasters is good at developing your public speaking. There's a great group that meets at the Unity Church (though this is not a religious group, that's just the meeting spot) on Thursday mornings from 7 to 8:30 am.
