For a person with a prescription for medical marijuana, what providers do you recommend and why - what services make you recommend them?

Edhat note: The subscriber who submitted this referral knew the subject would be controversial. They'd like to receive actual recommendations from locals who have experience with medical marijuana providers.

I'd much rather be a marijuana addict (if there is such a thing) Than an.... I used to go to the Green Well but they opened later in the day. I started going to the Collective up the street. Some people are jealous that they cannot enjoy their medication without becomming addicted.

Does anyone really enjoy their medication? Sounds like an example of the sort of things that some--who see this dispensary system as a sham--have problems with.

Highlander, I have to take a medication I don't like. I get it from Rite Aid. Should I seek help too? Am I addicted?

Compassion Center on upper Da la Vina is exceptional - even if the local city council acted like jerks re its right to continue operating.

Compassion Center is still open. Green Well is good. I'm a Green Well member. I have a third skin cancer now, and lost my health insurance 3 years ago due to legal costs when the DA filed a phony $400 vandalism charge against me that cost around $10K before it was dismissed when it got to court 6 months later because there was no evidence in the sheriff's report and was filed by someone with no standing. An example of protection under elder law as a disabled person.
I want to ask the nurse at Compassion Center for recommendations for topical preparations for skin cancer. I own stock in CBIS, Cannabis Sciences Inc., who are marketing a cannabis medication in Europe that has been shown to cure skin cancer. Cannabis is less habit-forming than caffeine according to the federal government Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Bayer and Parke Davis sold opium, heroin and cocaine, the drugs of choice for mental illness around 100 years ago, if you're concerned about addiction or think pharmaceutical companies sell superior medicine.
Cannabis use in SB was commonplace in the early 80's among my fellow scientists and engineers with Secret clearances working on classified projects in Goleta, hasn't changed recently.

The Compassion Center is well run, discreet, offers a large choice...
I heard that the City Council recently refused to allow it to continue because of a permit - or maybe it was the Council that denied them a permit? The news out there has become confusing. Does anyone know if the Compassion Center is still open? Or has it been forced to close its doors immediately?
