Quick Tailor
updated: Apr 13, 2011, 10:41 AM

A freind is shipping me a suit very last minute and I will most likely need to find a tailor to do some alterations rather quickly - Any reccomendations for a tailor that could provide the alterations in a couple of days?

I always take my stuff to Gary at Panoyan Tailors. They have been fantastic to my family for years and years (I think it has been there since the1960's).

It is on upper state across the street from the Verizon Store.

He does everything, alterations, custom suits, etc.

And I love the tree in front of the store! One of the more beautiful trees in the city!

Lee's usually accomodate "rush" jobs.

I don't know much about tailors in town, but I do agree with the first post in one aspect...

I love that tree also! It is beautiful! I enjoy driving by it everyday when I take my kids to Peabody.

Try Melanie Tunnell
I don't know how busy she is but she's good. She has a studio near State and LaCumbre.

For a rush job, you'll have to call to see who is available. Lee's Tailoring is wonderfully precise. 4141 State St # E4
Santa Barbara, CA 93110-1854 Mr. Lee is very kind. I've also used Tony the Tailor on Mission, who can even repair torn leather. For faster time I've had to use the tailor in St. Paul's Dry Cleaning Montecito ($30 to hem jeans - ouch!) and the seamstress at One Hour Martinizing, State Street near the post office. Custom tailoring is not cheap. Good luck.
