Carpinteria Orchids

There's something magical about orchids opening in a springtime rain. Maybe it's that the rainwater accentuates the color of the orchid, like ocean water does to sea glass in the sand.
Maybe it's the fact that the rainwater washes off any dust and dirt.
Whatever it is, I find it captivating.
These are a few orchids in our Carpinteria backyard today during a light rain shower.
