Peace Sign

March Edness 2011

Peace certainly don't come easy. And, when Edhat shows you a peace sign during the last week of March Edness, you know there must be a catch. And yesterday, there was.

This isn't the first time that peace was given a chance in March Edness. Last year, we featured a peace sign made out of old CD's.

In 2007, it was written on the side of a barn.

This year's peace offering was a double in its own right. You see, there's a peace sign, just like the one shown in yesterday's March Edness, in front of the Peace Store near the corner of De La Guerra and State. That was the most obvious choice as to where the picture was taken. But just as our country can fight more than one war at the same time, there can be more than one lighted white peace sign in Santa Barbara. The one shown here is in Montecito in front of Tre Lune.

In case you're wondering, the missing piece that connects the two signs and the three moons is that the Peace Store and Tre Lune are both owed by Lucky Guy, Gene Montesano. And to tie it all together, we must mention that this is not the first time Tre has been an Edness theme. In 2009, we featured the Tori Tre Apartments.
