Ha! We really got you on this one! In the six year history of March Edness, Ed cannot remember a picture where the most common answer was the wrong answer. Until today, that is.

The carving in stone spans King Philip's kingdoms, from single cell organisms to plants and animals. And, along the way we see insects, palm trees, snakes, whales, and man. A logical guessing sort of person would infer that this stone was laid in a place where plants and animals are on display. Many subscribers guesstimated that the Natural History Museum was the location du jour. But it wasn't.

The truth of the matter is that the carving is art. And it is on display where art is shown … at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. But, this is not some hidden treasure guarded by ropes and docents. This art is outside the museum, part of the pavement on the ground between the Rickey and the Siqueiros.

The bottom line is that if you have been to Nights at the Museum, chances are that you have stepped right on this 5-point March Edness gem. And, next time you will notice.
