Go to a surf shop or the Beach House and get yourself a nylon one with velcro....comfy, washable and much cooler than the drug store variety.

Oh, how I miss Long's! When I looked for a watchstrap at CVS a rather snotty clerk told me "Nobody wears watches anymore" and walked away.

I miss Long's, too. CVS is no replacement. Watch straps, wallet photo holders - lots of little things that were convenient at Long's which CVS doesn't carry.

I miss Long's too. Getting something I need from CVS is about 50%, or maybe less. Terrible stores.

Most things I traveled to Longs for are not carried by CVS..., watch bands included!

CVS's pharmacies are a little better than Long's were. But, for the rest, I miss Long's, too. I searched for a watch band at CVS, too, to no avail. Also, can you believe that the Carrillo CVS store often has only 1 or 2 people staffing the entire store? True!

Long's was absolutely the BEST for selection & the service every employee provided was top notch. CVS is the opposite in all areas. I recently looked everywhere for a band for my top quality Swiss Army watch. I checked everywhere in SB & Santa Maria with absolutely no luck in even finding one that was workable. Boo I ended up getting it off the Web in less than a week, free shipping & tax free to boot! The power of the Internet - oh yeah.

I liked the inventory of Long's. I just did a little research. There were 40 Long's stores when they were bought by CVS in 2008. At the present time there are more than 7,000 CVS stores. I really miss the Long's stores.

Rite Aid in the Fairview Shopping center (opposite Vons/B,B & B/Michael's) has a turning rack of them. KMart no longer carries them.

I like the shop close to See's in La Cumbre also. And I join all in missing Long's.
