March Edness 2011

Santa Barbara has a lot of beautiful mosaic tile art. Many of it has been featured on Edhat during March Edness, and Wednesday Where Is It (WWII). The art shown here can be seen at Hendry's Beach. It adorns the wall of the South Coast Watershed Resource Center. You can see it from the parking lot.

The colorful mosaic shows early residents navigating the ocean on a sunny day, accompanied by sea creatures.

If you go check out the mural, make sure you look down at your feet. There you will see a mosaic tile map of the Channel Islands that was featured on Edhat in 2004.

If you read the article about yesterday's Where Is It, you saw that Neal Graffy provided a photo and some additional information for that story. Likewise, we would appreciate if any subscribers in the know shared their knowledge of this mosaic.
