updated: Feb 01, 2011, 9:57 AM
Can someone recommend a concrete company in SB who can do sidewalk repairs?
Specifically replacing damaged slabs. I don't know where to start.

Thanks for the recommendation TBEBB. I called him and he said unfortunately they do not provide that scope of work. He was helpful though. Any other suggestions?

142025P - Not if they deem that your tree has caused the damage. It is the owner's responsibility at that point.

Comment142027 in the county a tree or trees between the sidewalk and the curb is owned by who ? The two trees(30 feet apart) have lifted the sidewalk, curb and street. The kids use the sidewalk as a jump and when it rains the raised curb backs the water around the car thats parked there.People walking have tripped at the joints.

I cannot speak highly enough of SB Construction. Professional. Timely. Friendly. Affordable. Just plain awesome. Kenny is the owner and is an extraordinary guy. He did a couple jobs at the house (replacing sidewalk from tree lift--like the OP is looking for--and a pretty major job in our garage) and then even offered to help put in handicapped access for our dog who was disabled from surgery.

In the county a tree between the sidewalk and the curb is owned by the county, and they should pay to fix the sidewalk. Give them a call. You might be waiting a long while though.

I've worked with paving contractor in SB for over 30 years, and can recommend no one more highly than Lash Construction. In addition to honesty and integrity, their work is of the highest quality. And yes, they are LOCAL, and will stand behind (and on) their work.

If it's a county or city obligation tell them there is a chance of a lawsuit and they will respond right away.
