Does anyone know where I can get men's shirts monogrammed? Is there an embroidery shop in SB?

There used to be place in town called ATZ monogramming that did a better job than Sew What. I'm not 100% sure that they are still in business. But they would do discounts on more than three of the same type of item (like men's shirts, for example.) They had more color options and better thread. I still have some stuff that never pulled, but the stuff I got at Sew What hasn't held up so much. Just my two cents. :-)

I have things monogrammed all the time at Sew What, particularly for my kid who has a tendency to lose things, like backpacks and the like. They never asked to see my inflated ego once!

Check with J. Crew while you're at it. Funnily enough, they have single-handedly pioneered the monogram come-back and it's quite popular. Spring men's shows were full of monograms. So it's you who is out of touch, I'm afraid!

I am the OP and I had the shirts done today at Sew What. What a great little shop with great customer service. The price was reasonable and they look great.

ATZ - now in carp - is THE place to go. VERY experienced, can monogram practically any fabric... we used them for years for baseball caps. They are great!

ATZ Monogramming operated at a storefront for 40 years in SB, at 211 W. Victoria. The business was sold to the current owner 3 years ago, who runs if from her home in in a rural area of Carpinteria. If you want to deal with a local businesses that have a storefront with reqular hours in town and avoid avoid the drive, I suggest Sew What for small orders. For larger orders, Chaz Sportswear, Arosha Screenprinting, or the Internet. Former Owner of ATZ Monogramming
