I second the Home Depot recommendation. They have the standard sizes in one or two colors. Good price, easy to install, and they last forever. Even I.V. landlords are doing this because granite is pretty much student proof.

Check out tops unlimited. Ask for Leo. He does granite, and silestone, corian, etc. He does great work. He replaced all my counters.

It makes me sad to see everyone using marble and granite for countertops. It is a non-renewable resource and once removed from the earth, it will never be produced again. Please use one of the imitation products, the beautiful recycled glass counters now available, or clay tiles.

To 985, most of the imitation products involve ground-up stone, usually left over granite, or other non-renewable materials that are being recycled.

Be careful when picking your granite tops. Certain types emit radon. People seem to be unaware and fill up their home with it.

Thanks so much for all of your good suggestions. I discovered that a neighbor used "Granite Transfortions" working out of Ventura. They did a very nice job for my neighbor and were very fast. They use ground up granite with epoxy. My job has been scheduled. Many Thanks

I love how you ask the local community for help and then hire an out of town contractor,
