Strange Tahoe Icicles
updated: Jan 06, 2011, 3:51 PM

By David Powdrell

So here's the deal….

I'm up at Lake Tahoe this week with the family. Great snow for snowboarding and skiing; some of the best in decades.

I took the camera and the dog out for a stroll in the early morning hours today and found myself captivated by the interesting effect of wind on icicles and strange icicle shapes. Pretty obscure and quirky stuff, I know, but maybe, just maybe, you'll find some of the shapes interesting too.
