Fall Colors in Santa Barbara County

I've never lived in New England. Word on the street is that if one wants to really experience fall colors on a grand scale, that's among the hot spots. Colorado had some impressive October colors, back when I attended college in Boulder.
Here in Santa Barbara County, finding fall colors is more like a game; a scavenger hunt if you will.
The good thing is that the fall colors are out there for us, too. And the challenge of finding them can make for a great adventure.
