Scared Husband
updated: Nov 13, 2010, 10:00 AM

Dear Edda,

My wife gained a lot of weight while she was pregnant with our daughter. After she had the baby, she didn't think she needed to try to lose weight, because her friend told her that the weight would go away by itself. But now, she gets very angry and hurt when people ask her, "when's the baby due?" - even when our six-month old daughter is in tow.

I don't know how to comfort her. I'm afraid that no matter what I say, I will hurt her feelings. How do I tell her that I'd like her to lose some weight?

Signed,
Scared Husband

Dear Scared Husband,

The weight would go away by itself?!? Her friend was just wrong.

Edda
