Leaves of Three

Dear Edda,
I spend a fair amount of time running in the hills above Santa Barbara. Usually, there isn't much traffic, but sometimes my timing is off, and I hit the rush hour.
Yesterday, I was running near Marymount School, and this small woman, driving a huge SUV, drinking a large cup of coffee, and talking on her cell phone came whipping around the corner, obviously on her way to drop off her kid, who was in the backseat. I was running along a very steep part of the road. Suddenly, I had to choose between an Escalade and a roll in poison oak. I chose the poison oak. Then the kid leaned out the window and yelled, "stupid!" at me! My friends at work said I should have let her hit me - just a little - so I could sue her and teach her a lesson.
I think I made the right choice, don't you?
Signed,
Itchy

Dear Itchy,
In my experience, I have found the old-fashioned, pink Calamine lotion to be a lot more effective than the new, clear stuff.
