Sunchokes
updated: Oct 19, 2010, 11:47 AM
I am wondering whether anyone knows of a place in town where I can buy Jerusalem Artichokes
"Sunchokes"? They are so amazingly yumm, easy to grow, super nutritious and even good for diabetics. Cant seem to find any
store in town that carries them. I would like to grow them as they are easy care and look like sunflowers. Can someone
tell me where I can find some? Or does anybody locally have some growing that I can get some tubers from? Thanks.

whole foods has them, or at least did a few months ago. The guy working in produce drew a blank when I asked for "Jerusalem Artichokes" but then I found them labeled sunchokes

I think I saw them at Gelsons. Or try Tri County. You can probably reach someone on the phone who will tell you. Try Lazy Acres too.

I've seen them at Gelsons, typically in a package from a company called "Freida". I'll bet wholefoods has 'em too.

You could ask IV Food Coop if they have them.
