Pumpkin Patch/Maze
updated: Oct 15, 2010, 3:18 PM
I was wondering where a good pumpkin patch/maze was in the Santa Barbara area. I know there is
one at Earl Warren Showgrounds, but I was looking for something a little bit bigger/better to take my son to. Is there a
place that does hay rides or has a maze type area?
Thanks.

Lane Farms off Hollister. I think it is around Walnut St. Has a pumpkin patch, cornfield maze and farm animals you can pet.

Last year they had a wagon ride that went around the perimeter of the property. Great corn maze. Fun for small children.

Another endorsement for Lane Farms! I go there every year and it is great--has the pumpkin patch, corn maze, hayrides, wagon rides, farm animals. There is an ad for it in the Independent this week. 308 S. Walnut Lane. Open M-F 3-8, Sat & Sun 9-8

Lane Farms is in the unincorporated area of Santa Barbara in the Goleta Valley. Walnut has a 93111 zip code. We called it the Pumpkin Patch when my kids were little.

Lane Farms Pumpkin Patch - has been there for years; is fun and has hayrides and maze. South side of Hollister near Magnolia Center. Can't miss it if you drive on Hollister.

My wife and I like to go to the Solvang Farmer Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maize out on Rt. 246. Its a bit of a drive but combined with Solvang, Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, and all the wineries, its a great way to spend the day for the whole fam. Bonus: sunny and no fog! Went out there last weekend with our daughter, Wylder-Rose, who loved picking out a pumpkin bigger than herself! http://www.eprepservices.com/wylder-pumpkin-1.jpg

hhmmm let's see ....pumpkin patch, hay rides, corn maze - wow, to me this "Question and Answer" segment seems painfully obviously placed by somebody over at ... well you make the guess! (sorry to be such a grump)

Actually #113660 it was me who posted the comment. I have an infant that I want to get some pictures of his first Halloween and also be able to take our older nieces to a fun place. I was not aware of this place, due to the fact I this is my first year with a kid...and also some ppl are new to the area and don't know of all this stuff... thank you everyone for the recommendation!! I can't wait to take my son there and just have him walk around and be amazed with everything.

It's a drive, but Underwood Farms is doing the Fall Harvest Festival now. Looks like fun. You can go to underwoodfamilyfarms dot com and check it out. I've been going to Lane Farms for a while though. Small, but super cute place.
