Shirtless Situation
updated: Oct 09, 2010, 9:45 AM

Dear Edda,

I am a very good-looking, middle-aged guy. People are always telling me how young and fit I look, and I'm very proud of that. I recently noticed a little extra weight around my middle, so I've started running at lunchtime. I get hot because it is the middle of the day, so I take off my shirt when I run. Sometimes people are a little obvious when they stare at me and it makes me uncomfortable.

The other day, a female co-worker ran with me, and expressed surprise when I took off my shirt. She told me that she gets hot too, but doesn't take her shirt off. From her tone, I almost got the impression that she was implying that I don't look good enough to take off my shirt when I run. Perhaps she's a little jealous that I look so good?

Signed,
Six-pack

Dear Six-pack,

Hmm, maybe…

Edda
