DOG OF THE WEEK

Professor Scamp PhD
updated: Sep 25, 2010, 8:45 AM

Professor Scamp PhD (Pretty happy Dog) is an eight year old Shih Tzu and a graduate of Furry State University where he earned a degree in dogmatism.

He has been with the Ventura Breeze since it's founding and is a dedicated and devoted writer whose articles are always on time and has never missed an assignment.

He works for dog treats and occasional table scraps and is very "big boned" even though some may think that he is a bit overweight.

Even though he ate his papers he is a pedigreed Shih Tzu and uses the "hunt and paw" method of typing and occasionally hits more then one letter at a time because he has big paws.

His favorite assignments are those that involve people in hopes that they will give him something to eat which he perhaps likes doing more than writing.

He loves reading, playing with children and with his very large toy collection. He is not very fond of water.

His column always includes interesting information about pets, a dog to adopt and members of the Scampclub and (on occasion) a guest writer.

He can be reached at scampclub@venturabreeze.com and would love to hear from you and have you send him a photo of your pet (even cats are okay) and a little bit of information about them.
