Announcing the Edhat Very Independent Two-Hour Film Festival!

On the evening of Tuesday, August 24 at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum, Edhat will launch the Edhat Very Independent Two Hour Film Festival. EVITHFF is a film series devoted to fun, quirky and mostly unheard of, independent feature films curated by former Santa Barbara International Film Festival Program Director, Cevin Cathell, and brought to you by Edhat.

We start the series with a screening of the Slamdance hit, SPOONER. In the vein of the comedy OFFICE SPACE, SPOONER is the story of a socially awkward guy facing eviction from his parent's home on his 30th birthday when he meets the girl of his dreams. The film stars Matthew Lillard (SLC PUNK, SCOOBY-DOO) and was directed by the young, indie-world darling, Drake Doremus (DOUCHEBAG, MOONPIE).

Doors open on August 24th at the SB Maritime Museum at 6:30pm for a reception provided by Paul Arganbright of Touring and Tasting Wine Club and Magazine (also former Program Director of the Lobero Theatre Foundation and director of the old Victoria Hall Theatre). The movie starts at 7:00pm.

A one-day discounted pre-sale for Edhat subscribers only ($10 per ticket) will be held on Monday, August 16, tickets go on sale to the general public ($15 per ticket) the next day. Get your tickets early, this event is expected to sell out!
