What's in a Name?
updated: Jun 26, 2010, 10:30 AM
Dear Edda,
I am pregnant with my first child. What should be a very happy time has become something of a frustrating experience. My husband wants to name the child after his grandparents - Emma if it is a girl, and James if it is a boy. I however, wish to give my child a more unique and meaningful name. And I am also not very fond of my husband's family. This has been stressing me out.
We had previously decided that we would not ask to know the child's gender, however yesterday I had an ultrasound, and asked the doctor to tell me. I feel much better now. Last night I made a deal with my husband that he could pick the name if the baby is a girl and I would pick the name if the baby is a boy. My question is should I name my son, Leonardo or Didier?
Signed,
Mommy-to-be
Dear Mommy-to-be,
Didier? What are you thinking?
