Edness Leaders Report
updated: Mar 21, 2010, 1:00 PM
By the Dedicated Staff
We asked the three leaders of the March Edness contest, Brownsquared, Camster and Holazola, to tell us how they're doing with this year's contest photos.
Holazola reporting in:
I'm totally amazed that I have been able to work my way up to the top three! The addition of the "zones" concept has added a fun twist to this year's contest. I can only imagine how hard next week's pictures will be when there are only a few zones remaining.
Of all the pictures revealed so far, the "welcome to Isla Vista" sign was the hardest. And I've driven past it hundreds of times! I do regret not submitting guesses for a few of the earlier days. I knew the peace sign was somewhere on Las Canoas Rd, but I didn't have an address. Oh well... And today's drinking fountain picture is a toughie. I've eliminated a lot of possibilities, but that still leaves a lot of others... arrrgh!
The easiest? The CKE star, but only because I drove past it and noticed it two days before. (Lucky). Costco was quick, but I did go double check!
I'm looking forward to next week & the home stretch. Best Regards, Holazola
Camster says:
This year's contest was easy on the front end, with a few tricky ones
sprinkled in. The hardest one was the mural for sure, none of us had any
idea where in the heck that was! Easiest was the Costco food court,
cuz...well...lots of trips there I guess! I really like the map part, that
rocks :)
Thanks for asking, we've been playing this for a few years and love love it!
Brownsquared, the champion in 2006, third place last year, and currently tied with Camster at the top of the standings, said: "It's hard for me to type while holding my past March Edness trophies, but I can say I like the new format, and I welcome the competition. As for the hardest and easiest photos, you guys there at the Edhat World Headquarters will have to tell me - the general rule is that the earlier in the day I answer, the easier the photo was."
