After Hours Pet Emergency Services Will Resume
updated: Dec 30, 2009, 11:21 AM

submitted to Edhat

In the wake of CARE Hospital’s abrupt closing and leaving Santa Barbara pet owners without a place locally to bring their pets in case of emergencies, San Roque Pet Hospital has contracted with former CARE emergency veterinarians, laid off without notice, to provide after-hours and weekend emergency services.

San Roque Pet Hospital, located at upper State and de la Vina Streets, will begin to open its doors 24/7 for pet emergencies until another dedicated emergency and critical care specialty hospital can be formed.

“Not only does this provide a reprieve for local pet owners but it is also some relief to some of the former staff from CARE Hospital who now are able to go back to work doing what they love – saving animals,” stated Dr. Dawson.
