Roger the Scanner Guy - 11/24/2009

Scanner report
updated: Nov 23, 2009, 9:01 AM

by Roger the Scanner Guy

Good Morning it's Monday but I'm thinking Thursday the darn BEARS lost yesterday but even though one hopes I didn't do much all weekend listen to the scanner and file paperwork duck an occasional piece of furniture, get kicked out of my own backyard even invited the police over a couple times but I guess they had better safer places to be. There was some little Hanky-Panky going on in a parking lot on Friday I don't know what it was since I got the middle of the call but something happened in parking lot 7 and a male and female were detained lets hope they were not already tied up. In the 800 block of West Mission someone took off with a friend’s vehicle, just grabbed the key and went for a little ride. In the 900 block of North Nopal some junior gang types were hanging out, I think I've written about them before they just sit on the corner kinda give the neighborHOOD alittle flavor and gas. There was a request for code 2 cover at Milpas and the tracks I went down there but didn't see anything, there was a possible 459 burglary in the 800 block of Anapamu, in the 600 block of State a "cat fight" between two gals, a vehicle vs. a bicycle at De La Vina and Constance.

Male officers requested a female officer at a location for a personal search on a female suspect, Police assistance on a combative medical at 34 West Carrillo. There was a code 40 drunk patient at Cottage hospital to pick up and take to the "Sober Center" A theft investigation in the 200 block of North Milpas, a 415 disturbance at a pizza joint in I.V. 900 Linden there was a drunk raising HELL, "Medics" were on an unresponsive in the County, a 911 hang up on De La Vina, a 415 Fight on Bell Street, a theft of cigarettes at 7-11 331 West Montecito Street. That was Friday evening for an hour or so would have got more but my scanner was on manual for some reason. Saturday: At 6:50 A.M. Medical in the 3800 Sunset unresponsive female, an audible alarm at San Roque School with no responsible to show up you would think someone would be on call in case of emergency for city schools a maintenance person or someone, another job for the Mayor.

A smoke check at Alamar and Foothill it was the clouds kinda low in the hills but from a distance resembles smoke there were several of these calls over the weekend. A water flow fire alarm went off at PetCo on South Milpas, 200 block of Fairview an alarm went off at a movie theatre, Ontare and State fire alarms were ringing in a couple homes but everything was fine, Medical in the 1900 block of Chino for difficulty breathing, I found out where the recycling cans went from 211 South Milpas there's a business there that the owners think they are the only ones that matter so they use all the recycling cans, parking spaces, and treat their neighbors like HELL These are the people who's customer crashed through a chain link into our driveway so you see gang types are not the only criminals in our city. 300 East Cabrillo vandalism investigation, "A smashed flower pot." Another smoke investigation San Roque at Foothill.

Montecito Fire was conducting exercises at various locations in Montecito they really got me a couple of times, a Chevy Tahoe was stolen in town I think on Guiterrez and found later a few blocks away. There was a Hazard Investigation in the 500 block of Laguna someone poured a gallon of bleach in a drain or somewhere to clean something anyway it stalled in it's travels and smelled up the neighborHOOD a bit so the fire department had to come in and clean it all up get rid of the odor, there was a 20002, the suspect was a white female in her 40's Driving Under the Influence and no doubt it was a mans fault. There was a report of major vandalism "Grafitti" in the 500 block of Brinkerhoff, and at De La Vina and Bath. 500 Block of Brinkerhoff that's where all those antique stores are I'd be sitting on my porch at 2 A.M. On my rocker with a wrist rocket. The Chevy Tahoe was found in the 600 block of Anacapa, there was a Medical for someone with seizures at Carpinteria and Nopalitos, someone screaming at the theatre (Metro) Good place to do it I guess, a fall victim on Portesuello, six shots heard near Sherwood don't know where that is Goleta maybe, there was a check the welfare of a female thought to be emotionally unstable (Aren't we all?) because she felt threatened by a man so she barricaded herself in her home. The police transported someone from Cabrillo Ball Field to County Jail I hope they took their balls with them.

There was a code 40 down at Alisos and Carpinteria, a 415 Loud Party on Cacique Street, on Canon Perdido at San Pasqual Two thugs in a truck pulled a knife on a bicyclist and kept going, cause they are so tough. There was a hit and run on Fairview but the people went home first before reporting it, hmmmm. Drunk driver was reported driving around vehicle registered to an address in the 2500 block of Modoc, on APS near Cleveland School a man was reported to be standing in traffic on APS. At Alamar and De La Vina a code 40 was refusing to pay his taxi fare, in the 2100 block of Red Rose Way a 415 Domestic, a 242 Battery investigation on Ash Street which occurred on Friday.

A 459 Burglary to a vehicle in the 200 block of Laguna, a medical for a fall victim on State and Sola, two cars crashed on Overpass road in Goleta or Noleta non injury, at 49 South Milpas rotten little kids were throwing rocks onto the Northbound side of Milpas Street from the underpants off the overpass, I hope they changed them first. At around 3:30 p.m. a Porsche slammed into a ditch off Foothill on Toro Canyon and burst into flames, the driver fled I don't know if it was his car or he ripped it off.

There was a 20002 involving a white van in the 300 block of Arrellaga, Police were looking for a woman named Connie around the Ball Field area of Milpas for causing a disturbance, there was some type of 415 disturbance at San Ysidro and East Valley Road, on Ash Road there was an illegal camper, there were juveniles loitering in front of the market at De La Vina and Haley a market I'm told has been hit by major graffiti, there was a CSI call in the 2100 block of Red Rose Way, Medical for heart problems Metro 4 theatre 618 State a few moments later the patient called back they were actually at the Paseo Nuevo theatre, I wonder who got that wrong. Alamo Can Ta Toe Do you say Pa Ta To or Pa Tae Toe 415 Domestic, There was a code 40 man down next to a fire hydrant I really would not want to pass out next to one of those things. Medical emergency on Oak Road cross of Hot Springs, a 415 Loud Music at Al Clay Hee Ho. In the 700 block of West Carrillo roommates were fighting and some one was assaulted not just insulted. A Hispanic male took a security guards baton from him and they were following each other around Paseo Nuevo what was really going on there?

Bright and early Sunday morning well not so bright yet at 5:30 A.M. 15 People were causing a disturbance on Trigo Road (waking people up for church) They fled the area in a long black limo I wonder how hard they would be to find in a limo. Medical 600 block of Del Mar Ave a ruptured appendix, I know what that feels like and then some! A medical at Casa Dorinda for abdominal pains. There was a strange call involving the Sheriffs or so it seemed turned out to be a burglary of sorts I believe they spoke of an open door and I heard an alarm going off in the background, there were seizures in the 400 block of North Milpas in front of a liquor store right before it was to open, there was 2 subjects on the tracks at Montecito Street that's good for a trespassing ticket. A 459 burglary to a vehicle parking lot 10 level C. Olive at Sola an open 911 line man heard struggling in background-dispatch was attempting to trace owner of cell phone, I think they can do that sort of thing nowadays not just figure out t
