Well something’s cooking over on Canada Street it must be "food on the stove" the doors locked no ones home they are either down the street chatting it up with the neighbors, up the street cashing in on the sale of booze at Rite Aide. It's only a few minutes and I'll be back and then I could enjoy my meal. It's getting chilly outside at night now and if you don't want your home I got a houseless friend that works that could use a place to live, so don't burn it down. I am sure someone would appreciate a nice warm house to live in. I was looking through the Daily Sound early this morning and I saw an old friend in there a true lady her name was Doty, and she was one of the two daughters of the real Little Audrey. I never went without coffee with those gals were around it was always piping hot and filled to the brim. And there were no damn cell phones and rude people didn't seem to want to hang out to long in either Little Audrey's on State Street, or Garretts at State and Mission Streets because a lot of Santa Barbara's finest went there too. Both those restaurants early in the Morning was like Rush Street in Chicago. People used to say that if you stood on Rush Street for 10 minutes and watched the people go by you would see every kind of person that existed in our old world. Well that was true with Little Audrey's Restaurant too and I think if Little Audrey's restaurant was open now and there was a rude person on a cell phone little Audrey would warn someone once about being rude toward others then they would be out chasing their damn cell phone down the street. So today while I pickup my Maxwell House to take a sip I'll toast to Doty a true lady who left us on November the 7th.
Wednesday: I heard over the scanner that there was an 1145 at the Bacara, it might have been an attempt or they might have gone all the way 1145 is a suicide and we have been having quite a few of them lately, someone had seizures in the 600 block of State Street, there was a suicidal person under the influence of who knows what? In the 800 block of Olive Street. Some where on the Westside a woman is being stalked by a fella who is a 290 registrant (sex offender), we seem to have a few of those around also. I don't want to say where or too much about it to protect the woman’s identity. I miss some calls I kinda halfway hear them it's a drag so I missed one where some guy was threatening employees but it's o.k. the cops didn't miss the jerk hopefully he's cooling his heels in jail for a few days.
A woman had chest pains at the Med Center in the 2900 block of State Street. The Sheriffs were running a serial number of a .12 gauge pump shotgun, there was a public assist in the 200 block of West Figueroa it turned out to be a citizen that stopped a drunk driver this was around 3 in the Afternoon about the time kiddies are walking home from school. Between the citizen and the police they might have saved some kids life. We need to get these selfish people off the road. I know like Barney says "It's the nut behind the wheel." I have a solution but it's against the law. Will lets just keep this in mind there has to be a solution us Santa Barbarians were smart wasn't it a fella from Santa Barbara who invented the Breathalyzer anyway, we’re smart here. I'm not all there but the rest of you are smart.
There was a suicidal at risk bipolar fella missing the other day, don't want to say his name but we might as well put mine in there what the Hell? I'm not suicidal though seems like all my friends commit suicide though. On highway 1 there was a vehicle vs. dinner, a deer. I don't like to hear about little animals getting hit but if I hit a deer and killed it, I'd eat it they taste good. I heard a Sheriffs deputy say 1144 and coroners office but don't know the circumstances, then I started hearing about the fellas on the bridge. I'm against the barrier also I have known many, many, many people who have killed themselves I saw a guy eat a gun, believe me if someone wants to die they are going to find a way, a barrier might help a little but like putting a fence on the border of the U.S. and Mexico they are going to find a way, where there's a will there's a way.
There was a 415 fight brewing between two guys over on Magnolia and one had a chain, there was a possible 242 victim at the Dolphin Fountains that's assault. Up on Alston Road there was an African American man said to be loitering for 7 days. There was a suicide or attempt on the East Side, an aggressive panhandler at Spudnuts blocking cars from pulling in and people from going in the doors, "Excuse Me but do you have any extra change I ran outta gas, I'm hungry and starving to death, the kids and wife are hungry,” a few minutes later you see the maggot pounding a 40 Ounce in the back by the dumpster where the free day old donuts are. I envy the police officer that showed up on that call, I would have never left. I'd still be out there in my uniform 2 days later panhandling for donuts at Spudnuts. :)
Will there was screaming coming from an apartment in the 500 block of West Canon Perdido, C.S.I. Was taking measurements in the 3300 block of State Street must have been a bad accident, there were numerous alarms going off some were breakins some were not.
Thursday: At 7:30 a.m. the police ran a fellas name who was a suspect in what crime I do not know just happened to hear his birth date, 6-6-66, and that was here in the city. At 105 West Sola there was difficulty breathing, there was a request from SBPD to SBSD To help out on San Andreas Street Then Montecito Fire and Friends were called out for a home that was burning "lunch on the stove." I do hope that these people have to pay out of pocket for this one alarm fire response the taxpayers should not have to foot the bill for their stupidity O.K. O.K. so I can't spell at least I don't leave "food on the stove." In the 200 block of Calle Esperanza there was a medical alarm, engine 4 responded, there was a CSI for a burglary in a business in the city possibly gang related. There were two Be On the Lookouts one right after the other one was from cares at 617 Garden street both were agitated one was under the influence it did not say if they were driving. 12:45 P.M. There was a fella in a red Cadillac around State and 154 gave a deputy the slip but that's all right because the deputy wrote down his license plate ran it and was waiting for him when he got home, he should have phoned E.T. First to make sure the coast was clear.
There was a medical call for an extremely code 40 male down next to his wheel chair at parking lot 10, code 40 is drunk. Some sort of fire alarm was going off at 35 State Street I couldn't really tell what was going on there but I don't think it was "food on the stove." There was a code blue infant in the 800 block of Bath Street I hope the baby pulled through.
There was a stabbing down at Rainbow Park part of Cabrillo Ball field a disagreement over someone’s crack one gal stabbed the other just above the eye. I don't understand people that smoke crack, too stinky. I tried to smoke my crack one time and I couldn't reach it, it's too far behind me I don't understand people that smoke their crack, they must be minus a few brain cells. Somewhere out in the County was a credit card fraud and I have heard a couple of those lately, minor injury accident car vs pedestrian, wires down 303 E. De La Guerra, two police units requesting another officer one at La Mesa Park, the other on Cliff Drive, there was a reckless driver in a white SUV with Nevada plates traveling at a high rate of speed in the 1800 block of Laguna, Cares was responding to a suicidal subject. If your out of work go into the mental health field there doesn't sound to be a shortage of jobs there, not lately anyway. An alarm was going off at Santa Barbara Bank and
