Los Carneros and Hollister vegetation
updated: Oct 23, 2009, 7:26 AM
At the intersection of Los Carneros and Hollister in Goleta all of the vegetation has been cut down on a piece of property that has had a for lease sign for ages. Anyone know what's happening?

That's the new Cabrillo Business Park. There are three entrances to the park proposed on Hollister, where the fence currently is. They had to cut down all the trees to remove the fence and make those entrances. Looks like they will be adding a plethora of trees inside the park.

Oh well, if it is a park that is OK. I like parks.

Haha, business park does not really mean "park." But the plan does look nice, and they are preserving the wetland.

Yeah, it hasn't been for lease all these years...the business park was always planned.

And they are eradicating some very bad invasive plants - Harding Grass and Pampas Grass, and replacing some with native vegetation.

I think the proposed Target will go in farther "North" on Hollister, past Storke and more direcly across from Camino Real. This is a business park, not a shopping center, we're talking about at Los Carneros.
