Franceschi Bust Close to Falling

Note the boulder with a head on top. That is the bust of Francesco Franceschi, after whom this 18-acre Santa Barbara park is named. Both the Franceschi home and the land around it is in a state of long neglect. And, as we see here, the sculpture is very close to tumbling down to the road below. That it didn't fall in this storm is a matter of luck, which will surely run out soon if something isn't done to protect it.
