We received quite the downpour of rain last night and early this morning. If you read Melinda Burn's recent article, you'd know we sorely need it in our little blue town by the big blue sea. Fifty more inches of rain are needed to fill Cachuma Lake to the point where it spills, Burns reported. County records show that the lake spilled 14 times in the 28 years from 1959 to 1987, but only eight times in the 28 years from 1988 to 2016. Keep that rain coming!
