Slough Work
updated: Jan 10, 2017, 12:25 PM

Wow what a difference a bulldozer and a few days make at the Goleta Slough. The before shots were taken last Thurs, the after shots Monday. The water drain was fairly dramatic given we've had 2 inches of rain since then. Also the beach outflow is interesting to watch, as the sand bank slowly collapses into the rapidly moving creek, like a mini glacial calving. Even the stilts seemed to be enjoying their new winter environment.
