Scanner Reports 8-22-14
updated: Aug 22, 2014, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Finally the Week End, FRYday. Saw this plea on Craigslist on Wednesday "Whoever borrowed my bicycle when it was parked in front of Pinkberry, please return it." I hope but doubt very much it gets returned. I'm not sure but it did not read the bicycle was locked up. Bicycles get ripped off when locked up but it takes a little time to cut the lock. Next time, use a lock and if there was a lock get a better lock. The bicycle belonged to a Host family and was taken from a trusting exchange student. In the plea he expects the bicycle will be returned after the person that took it runs the errand they had to run. I don't have a very positive outlook on this bicycle coming back. Prove me wrong. If anyone knows who took it, tell them to return it. I'm not sure where; maybe near the Police department. I wouldn't trust the police especially if you're a thief. I'd return it to Pink Berry disguised of course.

What is it with the argumentative "Shots Fired" threads? Seems like the experts come out of nowhere. "Have you ever heard a gunshot before? Do you know what one sounds like? It has a certain sound, Blah, Blah, Blah..." Then there are others who discourage calling the police and I have to wonder; are the people discouraging the calling of police, the police? As if they are tired of responding. What if there are shots fired and someone gets shot? Then the comments will be "What stupid person thought the shots were firecrackers? Or a Backfire?" I don't know about you but when I backfire sometimes it sounds like a .22 especially when I eat chilies it makes a very distinct sound.

I heard thru the Grapevine that a juvenile fox was poisoned and died in Goleta in the Neighborhood above Tuckers Grove. Who are the people that are doing this? I hope they get caught I would like to know who the people are that are cruel to animals. Someone always comments this is their home we are sharing their space. There are bullies I know just have to kill and dispose of everything in their way can't coexist with a little animal who takes up a little space must kill it. Will Buck O that is against the law so if you're caught you're probably going to get charged, and I hope you do time too; you deserve it.
