Scanner Reports 8-20-14
updated: Aug 20, 2014, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Happy Wednesday Hump Day. Now that I'm an Old Fart I don't like to apologize to people. I did that all of my life and I'm truly sick of it. I don't like having to explain things all of the time to people when they ask me questions over and over again. When I write something down and it gets changed to something else I get downright bent outta shape trying to figure out what it says, wondering if I wrote that then wondering if I'm losing my mind, or what. Now that I'm having other problems all of this is compounded so I don't mean to be a grouch but I'm in pain and losing my mind. I have never had the kinda pain I have in my shoulders arms and hands. I cannot even shake hands with people it hurts so bad. I haven't gone back to the Doctor because they said they would call me and haven't.

Anyway, not too long ago I wrote a Code Red about a Vandalism and the editor changed it to Malicious Mischief. That really rocked my boat because I thought one had nothing to do with the other. Will I was WRONG. WHaaaaaaat? Roger Dodger WRONG? Yes Wrong according to the California Peace Officers 2014 Penal Code Qwik-Code 594 a Vandalism (Malicious Mischief): Maliciously 1 Deface with graffiti, or other inscribed material, 2 Damage, or 3 Destroy real or personal property of another. So basically I'm WRONG and I'm SORRY. I did not think that one had anything to do with the other. I always thought that Malicious Mischief was like "Being evil in a funny sort of way." I have told all of you many times that I was SNOT always a Good Boy like now. I had a pretty extensive juvenile police record and Malicious Mischief is one of the things I got arrested for a couple times, "I didn't mean to drop that lit flare into the open back window of a police car and start it on fire, I was only kidding." I was about 7 years old then and my Uncle was Chief of Police. I was lucky. My Uncle really wanted to kick my Rump Roast for that, his partner got me later on when I smashed into a police car Drunk. I bought a couple of these Qwik Code Booklets one for me the other for the Dedicated Editor of Edhat. It's mighty interesting, really. They can be found on Amazon.com where just about anything in the Whole World can be found. I probably could have found this information online but I like this little booklet, it's handy.

Another Thang; my eyes are acting up a bit I'm going to see Barry Mast on Wednesday. Maybe he can help me out a bit. I haven't seen an eye doctor in probably 25 years. I have noticed many typos in my writing and it's bugging me. I'm also supposed to get some diabetic eye test but not sure I want to go thru that. Maybe a couple things will change but I'll always be a grouch.
