Door-to-Door Compassion Patrols Available Saturday, August 16, in Neighborhood of August 11 Killings

On Saturday, August 16, volunteers with the Santa Barbara Response Network will offer Door-to-Door Compassion Patrols in the neighborhood near Santa Barbara where four individuals were killed on August 11th. The volunteers will walk door-to-door to offer neighbors and other community members free counseling and support.

The Door-to-Door Compassion Patrols are designed to expand the outreach initiated at the Compassion Centers convened at Foothill Elementary School and La Colina Junior High School on August 14 and 15.

The Compassion Centers and Door-to-Door Compassion Patrols are a collaboration of the Santa Barbara Response Network, the Santa Barbara County Department of Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Services (ADMHS), the schools and the office of Supervisor Janet Wolf.

For more information, please contact Suzanne Grimmesey, MFT, 681- 5289 or 886-5403.
