Door-to-Door Compassion Patrols Available Saturday, August 16, in
Neighborhood of August 11 Killings
On Saturday, August 16, volunteers with the Santa Barbara Response
Network will offer Door-to-Door Compassion Patrols in the
neighborhood near Santa Barbara where four individuals were killed on
August 11th. The volunteers will walk door-to-door to offer neighbors
and other community members free counseling and support.
The Door-to-Door Compassion Patrols are designed to expand the
outreach initiated at the Compassion Centers convened at Foothill
Elementary School and La Colina Junior High School on August 14 and
The Compassion Centers and Door-to-Door Compassion Patrols are a
collaboration of the Santa Barbara Response Network, the Santa
Barbara County Department of Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health
Services (ADMHS), the schools and the office of Supervisor Janet Wolf.
