Anybody else notice Michael Jordan's private jet at SBA? It's a white jet with Carolina blue stripe and the number N236MJ.

Are they still looking for him for that fire that he and Charles Barkley started at the Santa Ynez golf course with their cigars? Maybe not, if he is back in town....

Michael Jordan made $93 million last year, most of that from his relationship with Nike shoes. Jordan’s current net worth is now estimated around $750 million.

He's got to be doing something right.

"Jordan gets assist
August 18, 2005|By Tribune.
Michael Jordan finally spoke with Santa Barbara County (Calif.) Fire Department investigators to confirm who was in his golfing party Aug. 6 when a brush fire started near the Rancho San Marcos Golf Course.

The information from Jordan will help officials pare down a list of potential suspects, of which Jordan is not one. Several people may have made false claims they were golfing with Jordan, a fire department spokesman said."

And once again the nasty starts with someone not white but rich. Jordan did NOT start the fire. Jordan is NOT a pig.

It seems that MJ is banned from a number of golf courses, because of inappropriate attire. Yep, they don't like his clothes.

I guess I'm going to answer your question OP - I work in and out of the airport daily - I haven't noticed this man's jet. Typically jets and airplanes like to hang out at airports - maybe the jet was with it's friends in a corner gossiping about bigger jets....there's always a bigger jet....and life continues.

Does it say "Air Jordan" on the side of the Jet?

Why does he even need a jet? I thought those expensive shoes gave him all the air he needed.

He's in town just like every year at this time for the last decade or more for basketball camp. Couple buddies of mine got a selfie with him at Sandpiper over the weekend. I met him at a baseball camp in SB back when I was in elementary school in the early 90's and he was a super nice guy. Still a really nice guy and always takes time to talk to fans and take pics when he can. The few people here that think less of him probably don't know much more than tabloid headlines and hearsay.

Get a life 563. Namecalling? What are you 12, maybe 13? Or just here online to try to start trouble and get a reaction. I would suggest you go out, volunteer, make a difference, make a few friends and stoke your self esteem. Putting down others to make yourself feel better is pathetic. Michael Jordan is a stranger to you more than likely. You don't know him, you don't have personal experience with him.

He is in town to play the valley club

I find it hard to believe he's banned from courses for inappropriate attire. Maybe the private ones, but they're private already anyways. All of the courses in SB and the valley are very lenient.

Try googling and you will find it

"There’s no doubt that Michael Jordan is one of the greatest athletes of all time. But, his success on the basketball court hasn’t given him a free pass when it comes to the clothes he wears when he’s playing other sports: Jordan was banned from Miami’s La Gorce Country Club on Wednesday for wearing cargo shorts on the golf course and refusing to change."

Oh Heavens! Cargo shorts! Lock him up! How dare he?

Really? What difference does this make? I think these "private" clubs are ridiculous to begin with! Does wearing cargo shorts really qualify as an offense that warrants vilification? I think not.

Clothing or dress code requirements and rules at private golf courses are enforced for the simple reason that if they were not then large numbers of members and/or their guests, would dress the same way. Then they would or could argue to management that so and so did it and were allowed to play dressed like that so why can't I ?
Those dress codes are generally established by the membership and Board representing the membership and can be changed by a vote of the Board if they decide to change the rules.

I like that local private golf courses do not discriminate when it comes to enforcing acceptable dress standards. Does not matter if your a famous wealthy athlete are a regular Joe everyone is treated equally.

If only the schools would have a dress code. No baggy pants, gang attire, etc...

SB Unified's dress code is on their website (sbunified dot org). The things you mentioned are not allowed; what you should be asking instead is why the dress code isn't being enforced...

Basketball Camp at UCSB. My office overlooks the parking area for the VIPS and the long line of kids & parents waiting to register. And the media vans when he's there. We just went through this with Kobe's camp. I hear Jordan tends bar @ O'Malley's when he's in town, too. He's an owner, I believe.
