August 5, 2014 - Baby Zoo Animals!

The Santa Barbara Zoo welcomed new members recently, a pair of orange golden lion tamarins. According to the staff, the babies can be seen clinging to their parents' backs. This species comes from the Brazilian rainforest where they are unfortunately endangered due to deforestation and over-development. The infants are now about the size of a stick of butter and are in good health. Check them out!
