August 4, 2014 - Adios Fiesta!

The past few days have been a blur for Old Spanish Days enthusiasts and fun seekers. The weekend was most likely filled with a variety of Mexican and Spanish influenced food; tacos, tortas, pozole, burritos, and the crowd favorite churros. Brightly colored flamenco dresses and nicely tailored bolero jackets were a sight to see around town. The streets were littered (literally.. whoa double pun!) with colorful bits of confetti from cascarones and mariachi music could be heard from miles. It is the most festive of celebrations in Santa Barbara and as quickly as it came, is now gone. Hello Monday, where's my coffee and Advil? It's going to be a long day.

In local news, subscribers were shocked and pleasantly surprised to find small drops of water falling from the sky, the Animal Rescue Team did what they do best and rescued a coyote pup, and Neverland Ranch might be up for sale soon. Read these stories and more below.
