Scanner Reports 8-1-14
updated: Aug 01, 2014, 7:00 AM

By Roger the Scanner Guy

Fiesta FRYday, LOOK OUT! The first day of Fiesta the dialog on the scanner ran continuous it seemed. Mostly the running of names for Wants and Warrants. As I was conking out I heard a fight call. One can never predict what Fiesta is going to be like as far as crime goes here it's just better to be Safe than Sorry wherever you are. Shut all your windows, lock your home before leaving, Lock your vehicle doors, take the keys, carry your wallet in your front pocket while walking around, drink water on hot days. One doesn't have to let paranoia rule their lives to be safe. Don't park in dark isolated places anyone can get robbed. I thought crime was down then I heard some calls that convinced me otherwise. On Wednesday, I think some crimes are up a bit. I heard 2 auto burglaries first thing in the morning one 400 North Salsipuedes, the other 600 East Gutierrez. I heard someone who had been 211ed Robbed in their home recognized at least one of the robbers near JJ's Liquor Police caught up with him and others. I don't know if he was the crook but the call lasted awhile so there's a real possibility. Several assaults, I heard a fight on Carpinteria in S.B. That turned out to be an assault with a weapon. Never heard what kind of a weapon or extent of injuries although I did not hear Fire and Medics go out at that time. There were numerous Transient disturbing calls and numerous Code 40, Drunks down or unresponsive calls, I think a lot of people were shipped to county in those black and white taxis we see around town maybe the jail vans are out too.

I probably won't make it out to party this year either. I am in extreme pain. Not sure if it's still the shingles or what I have horrible crippling pain in all my joints but really bad in my left arm and shoulder. I went to the doctor the other day and he told me this pain has nothing to do with the shingles that scares me. There's no scale to measure this amount of pain it friggen hurts feels like my bones are all broken or sprained. Anyway that's that it hurts.

Me and Belinda quite the pair she is adjusting to living without a spleen if anyone has had that experience please share what it's like. She's having problems adjusting. Sugar is a real problem for her. Now she gets dizzy. She went from one tough Dame to being unsure and fearful real quick and though I'm glad she's not killing herself with the bottle anymore, I hate to see her like this and yes my fingers are cracking as I type. We're a pair of cripples, then there's Poor Bear. Joey Canoli the Arsholy is our caregiver.

I miss those egg confetti things and enjoyed watching Joe Buttitta, from KEYT get nailed so many times. I like watching KEYT Now especially early in the morning it's a nice show with news too. One more thing. I'm always talking about being broke on here and I am, lol, but I'm ok on a fixed income and I do ok. I'm not the kind of guy that accepts a lot of freebies. Someone stuffed something under my door and it's too much really so I'm sending it back. Please don't be offended I'm just that way. I don't socialize much either, just when I'm out and about paying bills etc. My friends think I'm totally strange. One wanted to visit me from back home and I told him not to waste his time. It's just the way I am.
