"Jacquelyn" is ready for a home.

It has been almost three months since Jacquelyn arrived at RESQCATS. She was so skinny that her rescuer thought she was only about six months old. As it turns out, she was malnourished and had a multitude of medical issues that needed to be addressed.

Jacquelyn was lucky to end up at RESQCATS. We have spent over $4200 in order to make sure that she is purr-fectly healthy …and she is now…AND she is ready to find a forever home.

Jacquelyn is between 8-10 years old. She had a BENIGN mass cell tumor removed from her forehead. Our concern was that as it grew that it would hinder sight across one of those beautiful gold eyes of hers. She also had a full blood panel, x-rays to make sure that the slight limp in her back legs was not due to any broken bones (it was diagnosed as neurological) and a dental to remove an infected canine and polish up some pearly whites!

Due to the care RESQCATS provided for her Jacquelyn is feeling great and looking for a home. She has sleek black fur covering her petite body and her golden eyes look like the rising sun. She is sassy, loves face rubs and head butts!

Jacquelyn will need some time to trust her new surroundings. She has been with us at RESQCATS since early May and in that time she has blossomed. She is cautious at first and likes to be talked to softly and approached gently so I would suggest a quiet household with someone who understands all she has been through and is patient and kind. She uses a little kitty staircase to get up onto her crate but can climb up her ramp to sit in her favorite spot looking outside her window at RESQCATS.

It is difficult to find homes for the "Jacquelyns" in the world, especially in the middle of kitten season. But I have every confidence that someone out there understands that sometimes it is about WHO NEEDS A HOME…and Jacquelyn certainly does.

Please contact RESQCATS at (805)563-9424 and make an appointment to meet her. I promise you will see me dancing on clouds the day this special girl finds a home!
