Chumash Propose 12-Story Hotel

The Granada Theatre may no longer be the tallest building in the county if the Chumash Casino Resort expands. The Chumash tribe's plans for expansion include a new 12-story hotel tower, which would include 215 new rooms, a roof pool, restaurant, and much more, reports The Independent. They also have plans to renovate the existing hotel and casino.

Despite folks in Santa Ynez Valley expressing their concerns over this grand expansion, construction could start as soon as fall.
